The new season is here, and it brings a lot of things to be excited about!

Call of Duty Black ops 6 has been out for long enough to enter its 3rd season, and it’s not holding anything back when it comes to content, events and crossovers. Let’s go over some of the most exciting things coming to the game!
If you’re already rearing to go, and you haven’t tried the game yet and feel like you missed out on content, skins or just want some of the cooler cosmetics without any of the work, you can always just buy CoD accounts. Acquire all of it painlessly and fast so that you can just focus on enjoying all the new content that’s coming soon and the content that’s already here!
New zombies content
Let’s start with the new content that came to zombies. Starting with a new map
Shattered Veil: Move into the heart of an Appalachian apocalypse as the crew descends on Colton Hall, a diabolical mansion that holds the key to saving Agent Maxis. This map consists of a mansion and the surrounding area, as well as an underground facility directly under it.
New enemies:
- Elder Disciple: a floating enemy that empowers zombies and helps them evolve quicker.
- Toxic Zombie: These intense green glowing zombies are mostly skeletal now, and they will rush towards you and explode, leaving behind a pool of toxic waste. Make sure to listen for their screech so they don’t get the jump on you.
New wonder weapons:
- the Ray Gun Mark II is here and with three different variants you are sure to dispose of many zombies using this weapon’s burst fire.
- The Wunderwaffe DG-2 makes a comeback to the game to let you electrify zombies the way you did way back when
New perk-a-cola: Double Tap
dramatically increases your weapon’s fire rate. Research the iconic perk for powerful enhancements like an even faster fire rate and the chance to inflict double damage.
There’s some more content coming to the zombies’ mode, but this is by far the most important bits. Now, let’s jump into the regular multiplayer.
Maps
Season 3 of Black ops released with some great addition to an already great list of maps.
- Firing Range: Making a return from the original Call of Duty black ops, firing range is a medium-sized map. Much like its original version, you can find the titular firing range and practice your shooting against moving targets to kill time.
- Barrage: With high towers meant for sniping, this medium size map has destroyed buildings that provide ways to circumvent enemy fire to try to get the enemy from behind.
- Nomad: A small map set in some ruins that has a large tower in the middle that you can climb and snipe from. Reminds me a lot of my favorite map from any Call of Duty game, “Rust”.
These maps are already out and being played, but they’re not even all that there is to see, there are two more maps coming at a later date:
- Haven: A decaying building that will have many short arenas rather than long range hallways and the such, the map seems like it will take place in a large building and its immediate surrounding area, so you better come equipped for short distance combat!
- Signal: This small map takes place inside a section of an ocean rig. This claustrophobic map seems to be mostly made of small rooms and corridors, but it also has hatches from where you can dive underwater to try to sneak behind your enemies unnoticed.
Besides these permanent maps, there’s going to be a limited time event that will feature a variation of the map “Nuketown” called “Blazetown”

New Multiplayer modes
Not content with all of these things, season 3 brings us more multiplayer modes to have fun with!
- Sharpshooter: this free for all mode has players sharing a loadout, which switches every 45 seconds, and you’ll have to adapt to every single weapon in the game as you try to gain score while also getting power ups as you eliminate players
- 1st Elimination: Increased movement speed.
- 2nd Elimination: Increased reload speed.
- 3rd Elimination: Increased sprint recovery speed.
- 4th Elimination: Increased ADS speed.
- 5th Elimination: Earn double score for eliminating enemies
Be careful, as dying will remove every power up, and you’ll have to gain them again. It’s crucial to reach the 5th elimination and keep that for as long as you can to win
- Demolition: Two teams take turns having to guard or plant a bomb, the game ends when a team wins two rounds. To win, however, the bomb has to be planted in both bomb sites.
Upcoming event: Joint operations
This event will introduce a different variant of 5 different already existing multiplayer modes:
- Head Stash (Team deathmatch),
- Inhalation (Domination),
- Hotbox (Hardpoint),
- Very High Target (high value target),
- Munchies (Kill Confirmed)
Not much is known about this event so far, but it’s been described that these modes will feature different effects in game such as double health, low gravity, visual hallucinations, and third-person POV. This is also where the previously mentioned “Blazetown” map variant will make its debut. With this and the announced “Jay and Silent Bob” crossover that got announced, I think it’s pretty obvious what the “theme” of this event is.
Rejoinable ranked
A feature that’s been asked for since launch. Now, players will have a window of time to rejoin ranked matches that they left for whatever reason and teammates will receive a reduced SR Loss if a matchmade teammate rejoins, and they lose the match.

In conclusion
There’s a little bit for everyone coming this season. It’s very exciting to see the amount of work they put into this new season, and all the content hasn’t even released yet. Hopeful future seasons will keep up this tradition of listening to players as they develop new maps, perks, and gameplay changes.
